I've had a 12" iBook G4 since 2005 and it's still my favorite notebook for browsing the internet, writing letters, and even reading pdf's. It's very lightweight and I consider the screen the perfect size. It's held up very well. One of the keys has a hairline crack and one of the rubber feet on the bottom fell off but I clean it every month or so and it still looks almost new.My only criticism is that it gets a little warm so I keep it on top of a clipboard when holding it in my lap. No viruses, no crashes, no worries. When netbooks started becoming popular a couple of years ago, I had to laugh because I already have a lightweight, handy netbook. In fact, I'm using it right now to write this review. Given a choice between a new Asus or Dell netbook or a used iBook G4 for the same price, I would take the G4 without thinking about it for a second.

The CradlePoint MBR1000 is a robust 802.11N router with 3G, 4G or WiMax failover capability for small office/home office, temporary and remote enterprise environments for continuous, always-available connectivity.
I had been using the Kyocera wireless router but with the recent changes to the Verizon 3G/4G network it started to become erratic and the connection to the local tower would fail man times each hour. I had tried a 4G modem but it made the situation worse as the tower would bounce back and forth between 3G and 4G and connections would be dropped every time this happened. The MBR1000 so far seems immune to the tower transmission problems with the 3G modem I am using. A few hickups that are easily fixed by removing the modem and reinserting it in the USB port to effect a hard boot or reset.

Wirelessly connect your home theater equipment to your HDTV and keep devices out of sight
Customer review from the Amazon Vine⢠Program (What's this?)If your HDTV is in a location that is not well suited to HDMI cable connections from your cable box or DVD players, the Belkin ScreenCast AV4 may be a satisfactory wireless solution. Although the product delivers wireless audio and video of excellent quality, it has some limitations and is not well suited for all situations. Read on for details.PROs-----------+ Wireless video/audio quality appears to be equal to direct-HDMI connected video+ 40 foot video feed through my walls worked flawlessly+ No interference (that I could detect) with my wireless network+ Basic setup surprisingly easyCONs------------ Flaky behavior of remote control- Slow to change display input sourceSETUP-----------The ScreenCast AV4 was fairly simple to attach to my home theater. The package includes two pieces of hardware; one attaches to your television and a power outlet, the other attaches to each of your AV devices and a second power outlet. Once done, I powered on both of the Belkin boxes and within 2 minutes there was video on my TV.Because this was my first time to power on the ScreenCast AV, a setup menu appeared asking me to select my language. After that it said it was preparing to help me setup my inputs with usable labels (i.e. "Satellite", "Blu-Ray", etc...). Unfortunately, something went wrong with the ScreenCast AV at this point and that menu never appeared. The included remote control, used to change inputs…

Introducing Time Capsule. Automatic wireless backup for your Mac. Time Capsule is a revolutionary backup device that works wirelessly with Time Machine in Mac OS X Leopard. It automatically backs up everything, so you no longer have to worry about losing your digital life. Time Capsule is also a full-featured 802.11n Wi-Fi base station. Every computer in your house can work off a wireless network at blazing speeds. And they can back up wirelessly to the same Time Capsule.
I purchased the 1TB version of the Time Capsule. I already owned an Airport Extreme and was replacing it with the Time Capsule. A nice setup feature allowed the Time Capsule to see the Older Airport Extreme and import all of the settings. This made setting up the Time Capsule extremely easy - by using the same settings, all of my Macs worked with Time Capsule right away.Unfortunately, after 4 weeks, my Macs all reported that they could not see the Time Capsule Hard drive. When I looked closely at the Time Capsule - it was making a loud/repetitive clicking noise - hard drive failure. I have 5 macs running in my home. None of them have ever had a hard drive failure - but you never know (which is why I bought the Time Capsule). It's disconcerting to have the very device - that I purchased to ensure my data was backed up - fail.I took it to the Apple store and the exchanged it - no questions asked. But - it took me a long time to back up all of my Macs (the first backup using Time Machine/Time Capsule takes a very long time for each Mac). Additionally, unlike my initial setup, I could not simply copy the settings from my existing Time Capsule - I had to set it all up from scratch. Also - the Time Capsule that I retuned to the Apple store had all of my personal information on it. Even though it was a failed hard drive - I'm not happy that all of my financial data, keychains, etc were on that hard drive.

This product is basically three products: an airport extreme wireless router, a networked drive, and finally, with Leopard, a networked backup system. Overall, it's a very good product, but there are some serious limitation one should be aware of.As a router, it is fantastic. Typical Apple ease of use, with all configuration done by a very intuitive GUI application.Unfortunately, it's not a great network drive. The drive appears to be internally connected using a very slow USB connection. You will find that even with a computer connected via Gb/s ethernet, transfer speeds will be limited to around 5-6 MB/s, tops. If you connect two Macs via fast ethernet, you can often get over 40 MB/s transfer speeds, so this is a rather large disappointment, especially for a device which will be getting a lot of use if you use Time Machine.Time Machine is great in theory, and can act as a form of automatic version control, but it has a few issues. First, it is a file-based differential backup. That means, for example, that if even a single bit of a 1 GB file is changed, the ENTIRE file gets backed up. Not only does this take a lot of time, it quickly depletes your backup drive because the same data is added to the disk repeatedly. To get around this, you have to explicitly exclude backing up large files that are often changed. Good candidates for exclusion are Mail and iDisk caches, as well as virtual machine disk images. There have also been numerous reports of Time Machine backups being susceptible…

Includes: VGA/DVI adapter, Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger, iLife '05 (includes iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD & GarageBand), AppleWorks, Quicken 2005 for Mac, & more. Apple Mac Mini - Incredibly inexpensive, but definitely not cheap, this miniature Apple Macintosh Computer is perfect for handling your day to day computing, and then some! The main feature is it's petite exterior. The Mac Mini is only 6.5" square, 2" high, and weighs only 2.9 pounds. Its attractive platinum and white, rounded square design gives it a sophisticated modern look that can't be matched. It also has the convenience of having all of its buttons and ports placed in the back, so cables are kept tidy and neat, giving you a clean overall appearance. But what's even more amazing than its good looks, is the shear amount of technology Apple has packed inside! Slot-Loading CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Drive - up to 24x CD-R, 16x CD-RW, 24x CD-ROM, & 8x DVD-ROM Ports - 10/100 Ethernet, 1 FireWire 400, 2 USB 2.0, DVI Out,…
The Mac mini is a beautiful and very useful computer. I love all the applications it comes with. Contrary to it's processor speed, it's fairly speedy too. OSX is a very easy to use system. I've been using Windows for close probably 13 years, and I feel right at home with OSX after a month of use. If you're thinking about switching, this is definitely the best way to wade in the waters of virus- and spyware- free OSX without getting committed with a thousands of dollars investment. My only complaint is it is a little scant on USB ports. 2 isn't really enough. You can buy an inexpensive USB hub anywhere, or get one of those nice hubs that stack underneath the mini and look excellent.Overall, I don't regret switching one bit!

The Time Capsule 3TB from Apple is an Internet router with a built-in hard drive, designed for use with OS X Leopard's Time Machine backup software. It can backup your Mac over Wi-Fi, ensuring that your data is always protected. It even features a USB port for printer and hard disk sharing. The router allows you to share your Internet connection between several computers via the draft 802.11n wireless protocol. It also features three standard 10/100/1000Mbps RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports. The router is fully backwards compatible with legacy 802.11a/b/g devices. The Time Capsule features a firewall to protect you from malicious software that can attack your computer from the Internet, as well as wireless security to insure that your data remains private. It can serve as an Internet router for both Macs and PCs.
I considered Time Capsule a couple years ago when I needed a new router to replace an Airport Extreme zapped by lightning. I just didn't want to spend the extra money, and so I got a new AEBS. When looking for a new backup strategy last month, I read the reviews here and decided to get the Time Capsule for the wireless capability. I had tried to use Time Machine with a 2T My Book drive networked via the AEBS. It didn't work. Now I'm backing up my husband's MacBook Pro, my iMac and my external video drive all via WIFI in the background. If you love the ease of use of Time Machine, it's even better using Time Capsule. Setup took 5 minutes and my settings were automatically transferred to the TC. Now my AEBS is working as an extender on the network in a hard to reach part of the house and I will have a backup router if lightning strikes again.

My wife and I wanted to keep an eye on the nanny with our baby from work. After researching the network cameras for several months, it seemed that only Panasonic cameras consistently received positive (usually glowing reviews) whereas cameras from other major brands like Linksys, D-Link, etc received mediocre or poor reviews. So I went with Panasonic. And after about a month, I have to say I am very impressed with it. Some background: I have a classic Linksys WRT54G 802.11g router, with 2 WinXP PCs connected to it via ethernet and 3 more PCs connected wirelessly; plus, I have AT&T/SBC DSL service via a Speedstream 5100 DSL modem. If you're moderately computer literate, you should have no problem following the included instructions to setup (view and control) the camera in wired mode or in wireless WiFi mode. But if you want to setup the camera to be viewed (and controlled) from the internet, you need to do a bit more work. And this is where Panasonic's excellent, excellent customer support comes in. Panasonic's support line is 8_0_0-2_7_2-7_0_3_3; they are open Mon-Fri 9AM-9PM and Sat/Sun 10AM-7PM Eastern US Time; this tech support is available to you for the LIFE of the product. They will walk you through how to setup the camera, configure your router (for, among other things, port forwarding), and register with Panasonic's FREE Dynamic DNS web service. This last point is important: Panasonic network cameras include FREE Dynamic DNS hosting service for the life of the product;…
